Waz up yall!!! Some very special news in the world of Core Rhythm, Im embarking on my first European Tour this June!!!! Thats right. I will be with my fellow Subphonik mates Yako 440 and Baba Israel, plus Australian artist Morganics in Amsterdam from June 12 to the 16th (check the Calendar for Specifics) and I will be in Spain with The Marc Ayza Group from June 20th to June 29th (also the check the Calendar for Specific dates). Gonna be wild. Check the website and the myspace cuz Im gonna be sending updates from the road. If you plan on being out there or know anyone out there who would like the vibes hit me up.

03.16.08 | New Core Rhythm Album in May, Subphonik News and more!!!
Hey yall been a minute, but frankly a lot has been happening. The biggest of all news is my second album RONIN will be released this May, the release show will be @ Club Midway in NYC and if any yall were @ my last album release a few years back, you should know to anticipate a dope eve.

Subphonik Wednesdays @ Rose continues to expand and grow, we are now a monthly, rockin every last Wednesday of every month and also we have introduced a beat battle to the evening making it a lot more exiting, stay looking @ my calendar for updates!!!

Also Ive been collaborating a lot, Ive joined up with the Dana Leong band a Jazz/Hip Hop/Funk/Soul Fusion band lead by Trombone/Cellist Dana Leong. We got a lot of dates in NYC, across the country and internationally coming up, stay looking @ my calendar to keep updated on the haps..

Was just in the studio with Spanish Drummer Marc Ayza, working on cuts for his new album The Offering, look for more stuff from me and him in the future.

Also been in the lab makin' a ton of beats, got tracks appearing on projects for Homeboy Sandman, Hired Gun, Farbeon, Baba Israel, King Armor and many others.

Also myself, Tah Phrum Duh Bush and Hired Gun are planning something pretty massive in the fall, cant reveal it just yet, but I assure its gonna be ill!!!

So stay tuned, gonna start doing a video blog real soon and have a special video for my song "Ronin" coming real soon... Gonna be an exiting year.

03.31.07 | Core Rhythm updates
So I know there has not been any Core Rhythm news in while, well its been for good reason. Basically Ive been insanely busy trying to promote my labor of love NAT TURNER RELOADED, working on new music and other endevors. So here its whats been up..

First of my album NAT TURNER RELOADED recived great reception, getting a rave review in TOKION magazine and also placed #6 in rapreviews.com Top 10 list of albums of the year. Also its been reveing heavy spins on College Radio and podcasts.

I recieved my first production credit on another persons project , with the Crumbs Rmx for my man BISC 1, it featured on mixtape THE STAY UP PROJECT. Look for more production on my man CREATURE'S new album HUSTLE TO BE FREE including his upcoming single GET UP AND GO.

On the personal front Ive been traveling, I was on tour with the poetic theatre group UNIVERSES in which I am a recent addition to and also spoke on panel about Modern Black Aesthetics at HARVARD UNIVERSITY (YEAH I KNOW WEIRD HUH)

On the music front Im waist deep in the development of three new projects.

1)A collaboration EP between me and SCOTT THOROUGH of Nuclear Family called THOROUGHCORE. It will be available this summer for FREE, yes I said for free, on digital download. Stay tuned for more info...

2)A collabortion between myself and soon to be super producer ZQ entitled CORE RHYTHM PRESENTS: SIDDHARTHA SOLAR'S RONIN. It will be a full length record, but only 1000 copies will ever be created and after that it will only be available for sale digitallly. It will be a new sound for me. On some Pink Floyd meets Sun Ra shit. More info on that later.

3)My unoffical sequal to NAT TURNER. It will be called THE ECOLOGY. It features production form myself, Noe B, N.E.M.C. of Nuclear Family, Open Thought Productions and Tranquill. Look for this sometime next year.

Plus lyrically look for me on projects for artist Dana Leong, Hired Gun, Conscious and many others.

Yes Core rhythm has gone digital. My debut album Nat Turner Reloaded is now available on Itunes for download. You can grab individual joints or download the whole record, for just 9.99. So for all of yall who still dont have the cd and I know there are a few of you, you now have the option to download it straight to your computer. Yes folks iot on.

On another tip more Core updates coming soon about the new year, heavy in the lab as we speak workin my new album entiled "The Ecology" which features production by N.EM.C., Myslef , Noe B and others. Also another collabrative record with a producer by the name of ZQ called "How to free a Nation of Audio Slaves Part 1". 10.15.06 | An apology...
....To all who paid money to see Core Rhythm last night @ The Bowery Poetry Club who didnt get to see me perform and were forced to witness what I feel to be one of the most embarrassing moments of my career. Though NONE of what took place last night was my fault or of my doing, I was a bystander just like you all, I feel an oblogation to apologize and explain somewhat because you did come to see me and didnt completely get what you paid for. In short becuase of bullshit underground Hiphop politics, people who cant look past there own ego and "manhood", TERRIBLE handiling of the evening by the shows promoters that made the show start late and not every act get to perform, cause a back stage stir that poured onto the stage, Hiphop took a hit last night .... or maybe it just showed its true colors, the mask of "This is the underground and were here to keep Hiphop alive, we are about love and respect for one another" came off and revealed it true ugly head. The truth came out that for the most part the lot of those who participate in this ritual no matter how talented with the mic or turntable one may be (or untalented cause there were some performers last night who need to reconsider there particpation in this form of HIGH ART cause they aint got it), most of us are still Pinnochio in Donkey form crabs in a barrel killing each other for some false idea of status and recognition. We complain about how the mainstream is killing Hiphop, but frankly we here in the underground are also giving her a major beating ourselves and when the question come's up "Why is Hiphop hurting the way it is?" the only answer to that question is our faces in the mirrior. I was embrassed not only as a lover and practitioner of Hiphop, but as a Black man and human being. Those who know me know that I dont stand for any of this niggativity but only for truth, community building and forward movement and to be apart of any kind of altercation between another black male and myself in a public sector is painfull for me.


One Love to all friends, comrades and fans who held me down last night and a loud yell of "Jungle bunny" to everyone who falsely participated last night. We gotta stop blamming the labels, venues, magazines, promoters etc. for Hiphop's demise, cause whlie they are to blame we hold some of the responsibility ourselves.


So to all who paid to see Core Rhythm and didnt get to see me, you are on the guest list for the next show. Just holla and let em know who you are and I will hold that down. Imma keep my movement going folks, though the powers that be are trying to thwart my growth. Stay tuned for more updates and One Love.

Yes, after a sick ass album release party I am proud to announce that my debut album NAT TURNER RELOADED is now available. Waz up yall, well i now many have inquired and wondered when my album is droppin' for like the past 6 months. First off i will i say i appreciate the interest very deeply, fa' real and am sorry to have had to keep pushing it back, but when ya doin' indie music with no machine it can get kinda financially hectic.

But wait no more its official, Me, CORE RHYTHM'S debut album- NAT TURNER RELOADED- drops JULY 21ST, with a kick off party that night @ THE BOWERY POETRY CLUB (more info to come later). This album is my first of many more to come and features guest appearences by GRANDMIXER DXT, CREATURE, BABA ISRAEL, D.J. CENTER, SCOTT THOUROUGH OF NUCLEAR FAMILY and many more!!! It produced in majority by soon to be the most sought after beatmaker in the underground, NOE B, who after this album will prolly be to big to work with my little ass again(lol). Waz up yall, been a minute since ive updated the website and all. Well here is the news....Nat Turner Reloaded has finally been completed and will be released independently this late June, look for more news about that soon. Currently started working on two new music projects, the first a mixtape of the newly formed collective called BIG BLACK AND UGLY which includes myself and lyrical heavyweights Tranquil and Hired Gun of 3rd Pary, look for that sometime this fall. What up folks, yes I know I did what I said wouldnt do, I have pushed back the release of my debut record Nat Turner Reloaded to the great month of December and I have good reason. As an artist I want to put out the best music possible and felt I needed to add some more music. I went back to the studio and created some more hot fire fro dat ass!! I have to say I like whats coming together. Now the album has guest spots from Creature, Baba Israel and Farbeon of 3rd Party, along with the previous annouced colaborations with Grandmixer DXT and Drilla.
